Concrete gains strength through hydration — a chemical reaction between cement and water that takes time regardless of shortcuts. At 7 days, M25 concrete has reached about 65% of its design strength. At 14 days, around 90%. At 28 days, it hits design strength and the moisture content has dropped to a level where the acrylic coating can bond reliably.
Applying acrylic before 28 days has one predictable consequence: residual moisture vapour transmits through the slab and gets trapped under the coating.
