Most mid-tier and FIFA Grade 2 turfs in India actually use a blend — silica sand as a base layer with SBR rubber crumb on top — rather than one material alone. The Heat Problem: Why Rubber Gets Hot

It is not restricted in India today, but it is worth knowing if a client or school asks about it.
Organic infill exists largely as an answer to this concern — cork and coconut-fibre blends behave similarly underfoot without the plastic content. Most infill failures come down to three mistakes: under-filling the turf, choosing the wrong infill for your climate or usage, and letting infill distribution go uneven. Each one is cheap to prevent and expensive to fix after the fact.
